Dora the Explorer’s Talking Digital Camera is designed with durability and functionality that meets the needs of young children.   Children love to imitate their parents and one way may be to try to use the adult size digital camera that the family owns.  The Dora camera gives children the opportunity to take pictures with their very own digital camera.    There are also different phrases that are heard as pictures are taken:  “We did it, yeah!” , “Fantastica”, and “giggle.”  The camera takes pictures and save them as a jpeg file on the internal memory.  It is also capable of recording video as an AVI file.   Another added feature of this camera is that it can also be used as a webcam.  


The software that comes with this camera allows children to transfer the pictures from the camera to a computer and then edit the pictures. The software works with PCs and Macintosh computers.  Children also have area called Charity Park that allows them do different activities like Framemaker, My Diary or Book, Scrapbook, and Stickers.  There are also some fun games like Sandwich Shop, Maze Race, Jigsaw Puzzle, Memory and Sliding Puzzle.  

The Camera is pink with a yellow outer trim.  There is a smiling image of Dora the Explorer on the front.
